The Ient or Jent family is spread out across Great Britain and across the world, including the USA, Australia, the Far East and Germany.

Over the years, Ient family members have been involved in events which have changed the course of history, including:

  • The building of great London monuments like Tower Bridge
  • The migration to the USA in the 19th century after the depression in Germany
  • Serving in the Indian Army during the 19th century
  • Serving in the British Army in the Boer War at the turn of the 19th century
  • Serving in WWI in Europe
  • Serving in WWII in the Far East

This section of the website tries to capture some of the atmosphere of those days.

If you have information about your part of the family, about where they lived and what was happening at the time, please send it to me and I will add it to the website. In the meantime, I hope you find the information here interesting.
